Do I have to file claims with Erickson Advantage?

A:

There is virtually no paperwork for covered services. You may have to file a claim if you are out of the area and receive care from a provider who will not directly bill Erickson Advantage.

Am I covered for emergency health services when I am traveling and away from the community?

A:

Certainly! In an emergency situation, you should immediately seek care. Emergency Health Services are those Covered Health Services necessary for the treatment of an Emergency, provided Worldwide.

What if I want to withdraw from the plan?

A:

You may disenroll from the Erickson Advantage Guardian plan any time of the year. You may disenroll from all other plans during certain times of the year, or under certain circumstances. To disenroll, send a written request to us. You may also call 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227). TTY/TDD users should call 1-877-486-2048, 24 hours a day/7 days a week. If you disenroll you'll be guaranteed the chance to repurchase a Medigap policy. During certain times of the year, limitations may apply. Stop by our Erickson Advantage office for detailed information on enrollment periods.

Who provides care to Erickson Advantage members?

A:

Erickson Advantage has a network of physicians/providers in addition to the primary care physicians at Erickson Living medical centers. You may go to the out of network physicians/providers, but you will pay more. To receive preferred benefits, members must use our network of physicians/providers.

If I choose not to join the health plan, can I still go to the community Medical Center?

A:

Yes, all Erickson residents can utilize the services provided at the Medical Center.

Q:

Who can join Erickson Advantage?

A:

Erickson Advantage is only available to Erickson Living residents. As with other Supplement and Advantage Plans, you must be entitled to Part A and enrolled in Part B. You must continue to pay the Medicare Part B premium if not otherwise paid for under Medicaid or by another third party.

Enrolling with us does not affect your Medicaid eligibility. Persons with end-stage renal disease at the time of application are not eligible, except under certain circumstances.
